## Machine preamble

**Summary:** Explore an Express ticket checkout built with the Inttegro TypeScript SDK. This Ruby representation uses the selected SDK's native names wherever Studio has a verified mapping.

### Five questions

#### Q1. When should the reader use Express demo?

Use this demo guide to inspect a complete working integration and compare it with the application being built.

#### Q2. What is authoritative on this page?

The demo proves one working composition, not the only supported architecture. Follow its linked SDK and API pages for current contracts.

#### Q3. What page-specific constraint matters most?

Do not copy demo credentials, identifiers, or deployment assumptions. Recreate configuration through supported public setup paths.

#### Q4. Can Inttegro MCP materially help with this task?

No catalog ability is sufficiently specific to recommend for this page. Use the documentation directly; consult the MCP catalog only if the task later requires governed live account context or a supported operation.

#### Q5. How should the reader verify the answer and continue?

Open the hosted experience, trace the corresponding source, and verify that its SDK and API usage still matches the current linked documentation. Continue with [Read the Orders API](https://studio.inttegro.com/machine/ruby/api/orders.md) and [Accept payment with Inttegro Checkout](https://studio.inttegro.com/machine/ruby/guides/accept-payment-with-inttegro-checkout.md) when those concerns enter scope.

## Document content

# Express demo

Build a server-rendered ticket checkout with Express. One server-created order
supports embedded, modal, and hosted payment.

> Demo Release is interactive content. Use the canonical page to view it.

## What you’ll build

- An [Express 5](https://expressjs.com/en/starter/installing.html) POST handler
with explicit validation and safe errors
- Typed order construction with the [Inttegro TypeScript SDK](https://studio.inttegro.com/machine/ruby/sdks/typescript.md)
- Server-owned API and idempotency keys
- Server-rendered HTML progressively enhanced with [`@inttegro/js`](https://studio.inttegro.com/machine/ruby/web/javascript.md)

## See the flow

The gallery shows the same order embedded, in a modal, and on Inttegro Pages.
The API key and order SDK remain on the server.

## Run the demo

Install a supported [Node.js release](https://nodejs.org/en/about/previous-releases),
set the environment values, and start the development server. The
[released README](https://github.com/inttegro/inttegro-demos/blob/express-v1.8.3/express/README.md)
has the exact commands.

## Key files

1. [`src/checkout.ts`](https://github.com/inttegro/inttegro-demos/blob/express-v1.8.3/express/src/checkout.ts)
   creates the ticket order.
2. [`src/app.ts`](https://github.com/inttegro/inttegro-demos/blob/express-v1.8.3/express/src/app.ts)
handles validation, safe errors, and the response.
3. [`public/checkout-presentations.js`](https://github.com/inttegro/inttegro-demos/blob/express-v1.8.3/express/public/checkout-presentations.js)
presents Checkout in all three modes.

## Before you ship

Keep the API key on the server. Link the booking to its Inttegro order and
verify payment before issuing a ticket.
